As we move further into the school year, we want to remind families of our school’s head lice policy. If a student is found to have live lice, their families will be notified and students may return to school after the first lice treatment has been applied.
Our school does not conduct mass lice checks, so we encourage parents to regularly check their children at home. If a case occurs in your child’s classroom, we will send a general notice to that class, - no names shared.
To help prevent the spread of lice, please remind your child not to share hats, headphones, hair accessories, or bedding, and to keep personal items in their own cubbies or lockers.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our school community healthy. Please reach out if you have any questions.
It’s time to re-enroll your child for next school year! If you haven't already, please re-enroll your student before next Friday, December 19th. It is very important to complete re-enrollmnet before the deadline. If re-enrollment is not completed, your child's spot will be made available to new incoming students. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our admissions office. We would be happy to help and talk through any concerns!
Re-enrollment includes two steps:
• Complete the re-enrollment form (click here or the button below to complete)

To help our school day start smoothly, we encourage all families to drop off students no later than 9:45am. Classes begin at 9:55am, and students need a few minutes beforehand to unpack, get settled, and be ready to learn. Drop off is at door 24 by Peavey Park on 22nd St. and is open 7:45am to 10:00am
Thank you for helping us set our students up for success each morning!
As we prepare for a number of upcoming lower school events, we want to be sure all families feel welcomed and informed. We would like to clarify that parents, grandparents, and invited family members are welcome to attend school-hosted events (including the K–2 Christmas Program, Parent Involvement Day, and Creative Expressions) without needing a volunteer background check.
Background checks are only required for adults who are volunteering during the school day, supervising students, or serving in an ongoing volunteer role.
We hope this provides clarity and helps all families enjoy these special moments with confidence and ease. Please reach out if you have any questions!
To ensure the safety of all students, any parent who wishes to enter a classroom during the school day (for volunteering, events, birthdays, chaperoning, lunch visits, etc.) must first complete a free background check at the front desk. Please bring a photo ID to complete this process as soon as possible. The background check must be completed 48 hours before your visit. Background checks must be completed every school year.
Effective immediately:
We appreciate your partnership in keeping our school safe and welcoming for every child.
Senior tributes and photos are due Monday, December 1! This will photo and note will be what is featured in our yearbook. If a senior portrait is not uploaded by that date, your student’s JPIX school photo will be used instead (if available). We encourage you to schedule your photos soon so your photographer has time to prepare the image for submission. Students may choose their own photographer or use their school photo from picture day.
Please read the following instructions carefully to ensure your student’s portrait is included in the yearbook:
Portraits must be submitted in JPEG format, at 300 DPI or higher, and must be a vertical head-and-shoulder shot (horizontal photos will not be accepted). Backgrounds should be simple or neutral, though outdoor photos are allowed. The file size must not exceed 50 MB.

You’ll be asked to enter your contact information, verify your email, and tag the image with the student’s first name, last name, and grade. At Hope Academy, our school uniform reflects unity, belonging, and a commitment to excellence. Wearing the correct uniform each day communicates a readiness to learn and fosters community.
This year, we want to emphasize one area in particular: shoes. For Lower School students. As stated in the Lower School Parent Handbook, students must wear solid black athletic shoes every day. Please see the attached Uniform Flyer for details and images.
We recognize that this has been a challenge in the past, and that enforcement has not always been consistent over the years. Moving forward, we will be more intentional in upholding this standard. To support families, we are providing a grace period. All Lower School students must have the correct all black athletic shoes by Monday, January 5, 2026 (the first day after Christmas break).
We appreciate your partnership as we work together to uphold consistent expectations for all students.
Updated grades for your student are ready for you every Tuesday! Click below to check your student's grades.
