Job Details
- We are looking for a Kindergarten plus 7th-12th grade long-call substitute music teacher that has a foundational knowledge of music theory, production experience, performance and/or strong foundational piano expertise.
- Currently, 7th and 8th grade students choose between choir and a general music class.
- Our students come from diverse multicultural backgrounds. As such, we are looking for music mentors who can engage cross-culturally with diverse genres, content, and pedagogy.
- Come partner with our students in their musical expressions and inspire them to be future voices of hope.
- Monday through Fridays (Friday classes start slightly earlier)
- 0.57 FTE - Full-Time Equivalency (~22 hours/week plus extra time for performances)
- Kindergarten Music – 1 hour per day
- 1:13 – 1:52 = Lunch Duties
- 1:56 – 2:41 = 7th/8th Grade General Music (daily semester long class repeated).
- 2:45 – 3:30 = 9th-12th Grade Music Production (daily semester long class repeated).
- 3:34 – 4:25 = 9th-12th Grade Film Production (daily semester long class repeated).
- Tech experience with performances is desirable.
- Salary is based on education/industry experience and/or years of classroom teaching experience.

General Faculty Qualifications
- Supportive of the school's mission to foster hope in God within the inner-city neighborhood of Minneapolis by providing youth with an outstanding, Christ-centered education.
- Mature Christ-follower with the ability to effectively educate in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.
- Desire to equip the children of the city with an academically rigorous, comprehensive, classical Christian education to prepare them to deal with the complex issues of living in this present society.
- Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
- $175/day
- Minimum BS or BA in Education preferred.
